Three ways I work with learners — and the people who teach them.

I’m a PA- and CA-certified teacher with fifteen years in K-12 mathematics. Whether you’re a homeschooling family who needs an annual evaluation, a student who needs a hand with math, or a parent or teacher planning how to teach it — that’s the work I do.

Home Education Evaluations

Homeschooling in PA? Need your annual evaluation?

Pennsylvania law requires a certified evaluator each year to confirm that “an appropriate education is occurring.” It isn’t a test of your family against a district’s scope and sequence — it’s a portfolio review and a real conversation with your student, done by someone who actually teaches math.

What you get

Portfolio review, a 15–30 minute video conversation with your student, and a signed certification letter you submit to your district by June 30 — delivered within days, with one genuine observation about your student’s year, not a form letter.

Tutoring, Test Prep & Diagnostics

Stuck, prepping, or want a check-up?

Sometimes a student is struggling. Sometimes there’s a test on the horizon — the SAT, a placement exam. And sometimes things seem fine, but you want to know whether the tricky conceptual foundations are actually solid: fractions in middle school, the jump into algebra, functions in high school. I work with students in all three cases.

Regular tutoring

Ongoing one-on-one sessions, paced to the student and built on understanding — not just getting to the answer.

Test preparation

Focused work toward a specific exam — SAT math, placement or entrance tests — on a timeline that fits the test date.

Conceptual diagnostic

A single session (or short series) to pinpoint whether the shaky-but-critical foundations are really there, with a written summary of exactly what to shore up. It’s correctmath.io’s definitions-first lens, applied to one student.

Curriculum & Pedagogy Consulting

Planning how to teach — at home or in a classroom?

This is where fifteen years of curriculum work meets your planning. Whether you’re a homeschooling parent designing a year, or a teacher looking to build something more ambitious than a textbook alone, I can help you design it — grounded in how mathematics actually holds together.

Scope-and-sequence session

A working call plus a written one-page math roadmap for the year — age-appropriate, designed to complement the materials you already have, not replace them.

Textbook & curriculum fit review

I look at what you’re using and give you a short, honest written recommendation: keep it, adjust it, or here’s a better fit for your students.

Project-based learning design

Want math to live in something real — a build, a garden, a budget, a neighborhood project? I’ve designed hands-on, standards-aligned programs from scratch, for both homeschool families and school networks, and I can help you shape one that fits your learners and complements your curriculum.

Lesson brainstorm session

A focused call on a specific topic that’s hard to teach, with a written summary of the approach and how to introduce it so it actually makes sense.
